What is 7th Elder?
Find The Respite, Reflection and Wisdom To Live Forward.
7th Elder provides a healing space for those who serve our world, our community, and our life force. As we know, those who lean into healing sometimes find themselves exhausted and depleted from the weight of the work we do.
For you, this sacred space can provide respite and calm, guided or fluid. Teams often need a place to debrief, hold space for closure, or offer a healing retreat for a worn down staff. Hospice may choose to meet here with families. You may decide to write a book in the silence of the mountains. A group of you may bring an artist, some drummers, an author, to lead a day of creativity.
7th Elder is our offering to our tired world where those who serve and are weary, can come and find rest...inspiration or light. Because of this, we ask you to contact us directly so we can co-create your vision.
Located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 7th Elder provides a variety of spaces and options for respite.
The Main House is home for our family, and we welcome personalized day, or extended retreat time where you can
remain interactive or within your own private space.
Hello
My name is Sonja Hendrickson- Linman.
It is my privilege to host your experience here at 7th Elder. After 30+ years serving students and families in our schools and in our communities, I have stepped into a quieter life. This land provides space and support for all our relatives as we seek to understand and commit to balance and restoration.
We host sacred space for you to gather within your own intentions, or you may choose to interact with the 7 Sleeps Guide for Personal Transformation. This guide aligns with 7 locations on the land that have evolved to hold space for inner reflection. 7 Sleeps is also available for off site facilitation and can be integrated into gatherings or personalized work.
Please note that indoor dogs, outdoor cats and lots of wildlife live here. We respectfully ask that you leave your pets at home and that you come in casual clothing, and with sturdy shoes/boots. You may choose to spend time with our four legged family members or you may choose to relax alone- it's truly up to you.

WELCOME
Canyon Creek is Historic Nuche, or Ute Land. We honor and acknowledge the historic preservation and tending of this land by original indigenous tribes. We are committed to slow discussion and intention to ensure that we are aligning with all that is sacred and reflective of the relationship our Ute brothers and sisters have with the land and with all of us. It is our privilege to reside here, and we look to Nuche leadership and wisdom as we offer this sacred space for healing.
